Oxygen Interactive Studios was established in January 2007, based
in South London. The company is focused on creative executions
of mainstream concepts, notably on the Wii and DS platforms but
also collaborating with external PlayStation2 and PC developers,
to create cross-platform titles for the emerging market of lifestyle-oriented
gamers.
Led by Andrew Squirrell, who brings a decade of development
management expertise to the company, every member of the management
team has worked across the full range of games development including
niche and creative games, triple-A and licensed games, kids’
properties, conversions and outsourcing. Strong project management
and flexible resourcing ensure efficient and low-risk development
by teams dedicated to creating player-focused games based on
commercial requirements.
Oxygen Studios’ technology team are currently working with
external development partners and are planning a wider release
of the in house engine and tool chain, Ozone, by the end of
2008.
Oxygen Studios has been nominated in the Develop Industry
Excellence Awards 2008, under the "Best New UK/European
Studio" category.
